2006 Winners
The three winners, Lizary Rodriguez-Rios, Harpist, Alicia Fall,
Singer/Songwriter, and Bonnie Draina, Soprano.
When describing both musicians and
venue, the Judges, Joan McLean Braun, (Executive Director of Concerts
and Public Relations for the CU College of Music), Lionel Young,
(Jazz Violinist and member of The Lionel Young Band), and Sergio
Gallo, (concert pianist and Professor of Music at State University
of Georgia-Atlanta), resoundingly agreed that they were truly “inspirational”.
The three winners, Lizary Rodriguez-Rios, Harpist, Alicia Fall,
Singer/Songwriter, and Bonnie Draina, Soprano, were invited back
to perform a full-length recorded concert on August 5 at the Church
of Eternal Hills in Tabernash and in concert on August 7 at Nissi’s
in Lafayette. Each winner also received a $1,000 cash award and
all of the semi-finalists received a day of mentoring by renowned
experts in the multiple facets of music presentation and entrepreneurship.
